Revised time for the President's visit to our school. Monday 20th at 11:30 am

Written by
The President’s office contacted us last night to say that due to unforeseen circumstances, the President’s visit to our school has to be put back by one hour. This means that all guests must be seated in the school hall at 11:30 am (and not 10:30 as written on the invitation) on Monday 20th November. Parking for a limited number of invited guests in the school grounds. All parents and staff are asked to park at Castle Road entrance or elsewhere outside of the school grounds. The President is invited to unveil the school’s new sculpture “The Book of Climate Bells” by renowned Cork artist, Vivienne Roche. Vivienne has designed this sculpture to be an inspiration to the children of Esker Educate Together NS and our wider school community, encouraging them to address the challenge of climate change. The piece was sponsored by the DES Percent for Art scheme. On the day of the unveiling, we will also be formally launching our new Sunbell Garden, which is an outdoor garden/classroom, located near the Book of Climate Bells. This garden was also designed by Vivienne Roche and was created to complement the Book of Climate Bells. This piece was sponsored by Carambola, the company which supply our schools lunches. We will also use the opportunity to mark the ten year anniversary of our school’s opening in 2007.
