Hi parents,

We will now be updating the PTA section of the website regularly so you can all keep up to date with what the PTA is up to. Firstly, let me introduce the PTA committee for the school year 2014/2015.

Teacher Reps - Carmen & Grace. Gemma, the home school liaison teacher, also works closely with the PTA.

Aoife Linnane - Chairperson

Maureen Kelly Fox - Vice-chairperson

Marta Starczewska - Treasurer

Honor Byrne - Secretary

Committee Members - Sabaa Katib Khan, Amtal Qudas, Doris Davies, Naila Korumtaliee, Mahabat Alsaab & Lema Hamed.

So far for this school year we have run the Toy & Treat sale which was a very successful fundraiser. We also ran a clothes collection. We will be running more fundraisers before the school year is out. We are not all about fundraising & have collectively and individually done lots of other work for e.g. organising art classes & tin whistle for the school and lego club for Senior Infants. We offered the 24 hour insurance policy option for a small fee to all children. We renewed our National Parents Council membership which allows access to different focus groups & information for parents. Our treasurer Marta also runs the scholastic book club for the school. We organised an evening meeting for parents who cannot attend daytime meetings and had a guest speaker giving an anti bullying talk on the night. We served tea, coffee and biscuits to you all at our wonderful Winter Concert.

During this term we hope to organise the class photos and run a raffle of some sort for the children, among other things. There will be more information on here as soon as details are confirmed.

If you would like to get in touch with the PTA you can do so by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or speak to any of us at the school. We always welcome new faces so if you are interested in getting involved at all, please do. There is no commitment necessary, you can turn up to one meeting or help out at one event and not the next so whatever suits you. It's a great way to meet people and the children love seeing their parents involved!

We would like to thank you all for your continued support.
