Fun in First Class!

Written by

Hi Everybody!

We have been having fun and learning so much in First Class!

We kicked off the year with Well-Being week. We learned all about the importance of looking after ourselves. We learned about being in the moment and being connected with others. We learned how to let bad feelings go in order to let good feelings in.

We did lots of experiments with eggs and learned that they are stronger than they look!

We painted self portraits.

We have been reading lots of books. Our favourite author this year is Roald Dahl. We have read: The Twits, Fantastic Mr. Fox, George's Marvellous Medicine, The Magic Finger, Essio Trot and now we are reading Matilda.

We have learned so many new words in Irish.

We have learned lots of new things in maths. We can count all the way to 100! We can skip count in 2s, 5s and 10s. We have played lots of maths games!

We have learned about countries like China, New York, New Zealand, France, and all the countries our families come from.

The list is endless!
